“This is a wonderful collection of juxtaposed photos … old on one side and new on the opposing page … that provides a wonderful sense of past and present Minnesota. You can open it anywhere and be delighted.”
St. Paul Pioneer Press, Dec. 10, 2006
“The archival materials appear opposite new photos by Layne Kennedy, with brief but nicely detailed texts by Greg Breining … and the juxtapositions are gently humorous.”

Reader Reviews
This is a wonderful book. I bought it for my husband who loves history and photography. The only issue that we have with it is that it focuses on the Twin Cities a little too much. There is much more to Minnesota that just the cities.
