Product Description
New in the national bestselling Sons of Destiny series, hailed by Jayne Ann Krentz as wildly entertaining.
Amara is wary of magesthey chased her out of her homeland. Yet there is something about the mage Trevan of Nightfall that Amara cant resist. But can he be trusted with her most fiercely guarded secret? Courting such a pretty yet prickly outlander wont be easy, but Trevan is determined to try. She may be fierce, proud, and from a different culture, but after all, he is the Cat, and none but the most fascinating and challenging of women could satisfy him
Reader Reviews
Four of eight Sons of Destiny have their wives and their island is becoming a prosperous country in its own way despite the odds against it. However, the remaining twins, especially Trevan, are becoming impatient for their wives to come and help fulfill the prophecy. Then, low and behold, two show up, twin sisters Amara and Arora. Amara, like Trevan, is a shapeshifter, one destined to be queen of her land, but who was forced to flee to save her sister who has a gift the mages their covet. Needless to say, she does not trust magic men, and now, she has landed amid a whole tribe of them. Moreover, all this talk of destiny and how she's been ordained to be Trevan's woman does not sit well, even if she is attracted to him. Besides that, Amara is as strong willed as the reigning queen, Kelly and the two women just do not seem fated for friendship. Can strong, clashing wills deny destiny? Find out for yourself. **** Once again, Ms. Johnston scores a triumph in this compelling series that is among the more well built. Not only can each book stand alone, but the rules are just complicated enough to be interesting, but not hurt your brain. Furthermore, there are no cookie cutter plots here. Each son's story is unique and fits the characters well. As much as I hate to see the end in sight, seeing what this talented lady can do next will be a treat. ****
