First this book is small in dimensions, be aware of that, just over 5 inches square, but the book, once you open it, is absolutely DELIGHTFUL! Every page of the 384 pages has wonderfully done color photographs of collectable smoking pipes! From the exotic, to the ancient, to the "classics". The pipe carvings and figural clay and Meerschaum pipes, to the various other materials, the whole book is a learning experience and also a pleasure to the eye and mind, for those who love the various forms of the tobacco pipe. Tobacco pipes are really the only tobacco smoking mechanism that combines artistry, sculpture, and love of various materials with the experience of smoking tobacco. Add to that the aromatic pleasures, and the love of pipe becomes obvious to those who smoke the pipe. I HIGHLY recommend this book, for those who enjoy the tobacco pipe and the pipe smoking experience.
