I am so happy I managed to find this book. I was interested in not only collecting celluloid toys, but maintaining them. The author has amazing Insight into not only the history of celluloid, but the true feel of the time frame in which the toys were made. She even goes into the chemical properties of celluloid which I found immensely interesting. Her writing is concise and enjoyable. The book is filled with tidbits and stories which are fantastic. The photographs of everything from the process of making the toys to the toys themselves are precious and beautiful. I don't really pay attention to pricing. Prices fluctuate daily and is something that can never be pinned down in a book. However, she does discuss the rarity of certain toys which is what I think is much more informative to use when trying to evaluate the cost of an item. All in all, this is the best book I have seen on this subject and is definitely a keeper in my reference library.
