Hello, I'm Donn Pearlman, and I happily co-wrote "Making Money With Baseball Cards" with Paul Green. At the time this book was published, way-way back in the late 1980's, it was precedent-setting and gave excellent "insiders' tips" about buying and selling sports cards. However, Paul and I have not done an update, and frankly, much of this book is outdated: prices, grading services, online auctions, and so on. Still, there is a basic emphasis in the book that remains the same today: Be a COLLECTOR, or at the least, a collector-investor. Appreciate the sports cards first and foremost for their historic value, and maybe, in time, they'll appreciate in financial value as well.
